
SAVANNAH, Ga. ( WSAV ) – The Savannah Jewish Federation is launching the” Race To The Prom” project. It is a payment drive from now until April 10, 2024, to support a kid’s dream come true.
” For numerous prom period, which should be a joyous celebration of success, becomes a difficult one for many young people. Not having the resources to obtain a clothing or shoes, not to mention hair, beauty, and accessories, you build tremendous stress. Through your good help, we can help these young ladies who are deserving. Savannah Jewish Federation, help us make every woman feel wonderful and interesting on her special prom day.
The organization is looking for funds of prom dresses and gadgets, such as:
• Official and Semi- Official Dresses: short, lengthy, sparkly or no. May be clear and in good condition ( no spots or tears, please! ).
• Jewelry: purses, wraps, coats, shoes, etc. Must be tidy and in good condition.
• Mask Jewelry
• Unused Cosmetics/Beauty/Fragrance Tests
The funds may get dropped off at one of the following areas.
Jewish Educational Alliance, 5111 Abercorn Street, Savannah M- Th ( 6 a. m. 9 p. m. ), Fri ( 6 a. m. 6 p. m. ), Sat ( 12- 6 p. m. ), Sun ( 9 a. m. 6 p. m. )
Buckingham South, 5040 Abercorn Street, Savannah Mon- Fri ( 9 a. m. 5 p. m. )
If you have items you want to contribute but are unable to cut them off, just send an email to me with those items, your contact info, and a pickup time that will be scheduled.
Additionally, they are looking for volunteers to help with store layout or administration when it is available. To use.
You can reserve an one-hour session to get a costume or accessories.
