NCAA Rebrands CPD, Unveils New Dress Code For Leaders

April 10, 2024

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA ) has introduced a new dress code for all airport employees.

The action aims to improve the quality of the services and increase their visibility in the event of issues.

The Consumer Protection Department’s trip restructuring exercise took place in Abuja.

The new clothing code, which includes a white shirt, a hat, and a strong flowered blue waistcoat, is in line with industry standards and will go along with the current T-shirts and traditional attire.

There are innovative NCAA Consumer Protection Desks at the airports, as well as new clothing guidelines, and awareness efforts will soon follow.

This marketing, which comes with superior team welfare, education and are- orientation for a better output, misline with the Five- Point agenda of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, FCIArb ( UK) which focuses on passenger rights, privileges and responsibilities. Since taking on the duties, the Minister has made no assumptions about his prioritization of the customer experience.

The Acting Director General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, has keyed into this action. He stated to stakeholders in his vision board debut in Lagos in January 2024 that under his watch, aircraft consumers may experience a higher level of protection.

Mr. Michael Achimugu, the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, said in a statement about the changing exercise that the Authority had placed a high priority on consumer complaints and that as a result, the flying public may be properly informed about their rights and obligations before, during, and after a trip.

Achimugu noted that the Consumer Protection Department no more snoozes when it comes to consumer complaints because all legitimate cases are handled right away thanks to the Authority’s new strength. He urged consumers to be polite and use the appropriate channels to file complaints, and they would be resolved in good time.

He once more reaffirmed that the Minister had convey instructions to take all complaints seriously and resolve them within a reasonable period of time.

Achimugu urged airlines to comply with the new consumer rights policy of the NCAA and handle passengers with the dignity they deserve while cautioning them against destructive behavior at the country’s airports because they could be held legally accountable.
