The 27-year-old sun hit the Tuesday, April 16, screening wearing a dress absent of any apparent references to the film’s golf story. Zendaya’s Vera Wang gown, which was styled as always by her, rather incorporated a sheer ribbons corset bodice with a massive pink and black trousers.

Court clean, country club resource, and fashionable hairbows were nothing in sight. Zendaya appeared to claim this time that she is dressing up as the real star of the movie and wearing a serious gown to go with it. Her dress marked all sorts of milestones for Zendaya’s Challengers looks: the first to own an inflated create image, the first to color-coordinate with the video poster in shades of pink and black, and the first to use risqué, lingerie-inspired detailing. Getting into the details: The lace corset juxtaposed a mesmerizing red trousers with an inflated train behind, with another layer of black fabric underneath. Peek-a-boo black lace also appeared in the back of the dress, contrasting her bubblegum skirt.
Zendaya added touches of Bulgari diamonds once more ( as she has done on each previous tour stop ). Her feet were hidden, but it’s safe to assume she wore her trusty Louboutin pumps.

She and Law Roach had created creative ways to re-create tournament dress codes for each screening. Their formula? Grand Slam champion energy is present in both sought-after and uncommon archival pulls.
The “method dressing” marathon began in Sydney, Australia, last month, where Zendaya attended the first Challengers premiere in a. Zendaya’s gown was portrayed as a glittering green tennis court thanks to Jonathan Anderson’s design ( who also serves as the Challengers ‘ costume designer and Loewe’s creative director ). On it, a striking trompe-l ‘œil illustration of a player’s shadow appeared to serve the ball embellishment at her bodice.
This, according to fashionistas, gave the start of a tour wardrobe that was painted a tennis ball chartreuse color scheme. Zendaya chose to subvert tennis whites on subsequent stops rather than wear green for the official premieres. At the London premiere, her was coated in tennis racket embellishments; in Paris, she floated down the carpet in a by Louis Vuitton; In Rome, she adopted a minimalist lifestyle.

Roach and Zendaya have also had a chance to flex their sourcing muscles and experiment with casual silhouettes during more casual photocalls. Zendaya wore a Ralph Lauren runway debut in 1991 in Milan on April 14. She made a sparkly pleated mini dress and surrealist tennis ball high heels a week later in Rome and made a weeklong return to Loewe.
