A audacious event that was caught on security video involved several suspects robbing a clothing and trendy store in Mississauga’s Port Credit neighborhood on Friday.
The owner of Pure 10, James Latini, can be seen opening and opening the door for a person in the face who is dressed in red fish jacket and pants in images of the Nov. 17 assault that CTV News Toronto obtained.
The gentleman then enters the business while however holding the door lock and takes a quick look around. Latini tries to quickly close the door as three people approach the store when he turns round, but the man stops him and lets the three inside.
In an interview with CTV News Toronto on Tuesday, Latini said,” I noticed three other people starting running from over there. I tried to shut the door but they just pushed me out of the way.”
The four of them circle the shop, grabbing as some trainers and other items as they can.
Latini exits the business at the same time, turning around to see that his business is being robbed. The landlord locks the front entrance from the outside before running away.
When one of the defendants notices Ladini’s recent actions, they alert people to their confinement.
The front window is then broken by another who appears to be pulling a knife out of his backpack. The defendants leave with stolen goods through the broken window.
Latini claimed that the tragedy had shaken him off.
” Especially on a Friday afternoon, you just do n’t anticipate that happening to you. But after that, it’s just like,” Okay,” it actually did happen. Must move past it,” he said.
The incident last week was the next time his shop had come under attack. He claimed that the previous month, someone had attempted unsuccessfully to provide through the back door.
Latini asserted that the incident wo n’t prevent him from conducting his business.
The assault has been confirmed by Peel officers, who also announced an investigation.
No details of suspects have been made public.
