NORTH JACKSON, Ohio – More than 50 dresses and proper use pieces have been collected for Jackson- Milton High School’s Classy Closet, a donation efforts initiated by a learner.
Junior Caty Carnes, who is the architect behind the outfit clothing drive, noticed own Jackson- Milton pupils were n’t attending dance.
” I realized that some people were n’t going to dances because of the cost of dresses and clothes, so I wanted to help”, she said.
Carnes organized a dress-up push for gently worn formal wear and equipment in the fall of last year, hoping to launch in time for the May school prom.
With the assistance of friend and Jackson-Milton young Lauren Smaldino, Carnes collaborated with the Jackson-Milwaukee leadership to create brochures and a social media account to plan the drive, which first rolled out in February.
The push is collecting thanksgiving and prom dresses, dress shoes, handbags, suits, dress slacks, dress shirts, coat jackets and ties. until the end of March, it continues.
In April, Jackson- Milton individuals will be invited to choose their graduation outfit from the Classy Closet.
