CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. ( WVIR )- A group at the University of Virginia is taking unwanted clothes and recycling them as a recognize Earth Month.

For its clothing transfer later this week, Global Problems, Regional Solutions will be taking donations.

” By making an occasion that’s more attainable for the Ultraviolet students themselves, we’re letting people refresh their clothing, create a fun event out of it, and then do it effectively as well”, GPLS Co- President Gabrielle Gilpin said.

By beginning in Charlottesville, GPLS is a group of UVA individuals who are working to address global problems.

Being a team that deals with all these global problems while working with local schools and organizations made sense, according to GPLS Co-President Neha Mogili, who saw the distinction between what they do and what they do.

The organization is holding a garments affect every Monday and Tuesday and collecting gifts because April is Earth Month.

As the weather gets warmer, we were persuaded that it was spring and that many people were searching through their wardrobes and everything for fresh summer clothing.

Through this task, GPLS hopes to reduce style waste and pollution while also assisting students in finding fresh clothes to keep in their closets.

” This falls under that kind of giving back to the Ultraviolet society as well,” Gilpin said.” Not just the Charlottesville group and the earth.

On Thursday, April 4, at the South Lawn, people may have the opportunity to find out a new piece of clothing.
