To celebrate her 84th day, the Danish Royal Palace has two new photos.

Looking quickly beautiful, the imperial, who abdicated in favour of her son, King Frederik X, on New Year’s Eve, opted for a strong purple dress which she teamed with a pair of colored suede buckled heels, along with a matching bag.

Adding a touch of glitter to her outfit, the mother-of-two sported a set of thick metal earrings, while leaving her locks up to display the assertion jewellery.

The Danish is celebrating her day in secret today at Fredensborg Castle, which is where the pictures were taken.

Just important family occasions, such as weddings, gold wedding anniversaryes, and birthdays, are held at the royal residence.

In another picture, Margrethe walks along the spectacular color tiled floors, following her beloved pork puppy, Tilia, who used to belong to her late husband Prince Henrik.

She is also wearing the Jubilee brooch, which was crafted by Georg Jensen to celebrate Margrethe’s 50 years on the Danish throne.

50 grooves along the edge of the stunning piece of jewelry mark the tenth year since Queen Margrethe took the throne in 1972.

The heart symbolizes love, the 18-karat gold beam is said to represent Denmark, and the round shape is said to refer to Denmark’s strong bond.

King Frederik, and her sister, Princess Benedikte, waved to well-wishers who were stood outside the Castle this morning, hoping to wish the former Head of State happy birthday.

The former monarch’s announcement of her abdication during her New Year’s Eve live television show shocked the country during her busy first few months.

Just 14 days later, Margrethe, who ruled for 52 years, signed away the throne at a Council of State meeting and her son, Frederik, was crowned King of Denmark.

She claimed that one of the factors in her decision to step down from the throne was due to her health problems, adding that she had surgery for her back in February 2023.

She remarked,” It went well, thanks to the skilled healthcare staff who took care of me. Of course, the operation also caused people to consider the future: when was it appropriate to abandon the responsibility to the next generation? ‘

She will continue to be referred to as Her Majesty Queen Margrethe and can serve as regent if King Frederik, Queen Mary, and Crown Prince Christian are away, ill, or on vacation.

For the past couple of months, visits and announcements of Margrethe’s whereabouts have been less common. So what has the Queen been up to since her abdication?

The royal, along with her son King Frederik and his wife Queen Mary, attended a special church service at Aarhus Cathedral just one week after giving up the crown.

As she made her way into the church, she was dressed in a vibrant purple dress and a matching gray fur coat and hat.

She then opted to wear a large brown fur coat, a blue plaid skirt, and a blazer-co-ord at the opening of the new Prins Henriks Skole in Frederiksberg on February 7.

For her role in Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction, the royal also received the Robert Award for Best Costume Design.

She stated in a post on Instagram that she was’deeply appreciative, moved, and proud of the recognition that the Robert award represents.

Receiving an award that the industry itself recognizes is particularly joyful for me, and it has been a great pleasure to be able to influence the way the movie is expressed.

” I want to thank the entire team behind the movie,” says the director,” but I want to thank everyone who contributed to making my ideas, sketches, and drawings come to life,” not the least of all the talented people who worked on the numerous costumes.
