On March 19, 2024, a fresh Green Fashion exhibition will be opening featuring Lan Huong, a renowned Green Fashion artist who uses ramie fabrics to reduce the carbon footprint of clothes. Clothing with 100 % ramie is recyclable & may be reused & recycled.
The LSBU Hub ( London Road, SE1 6LN) is hosting the Green Fashion exhibition as part of new research being conducted by Dr. Mai Khanh Tran ( Mika ) from London South Bank University ( LSBU). The study job, ‘Green Fashion: A trip from Revolution to Revolutions’, is studying how Lan Huong uses ramie to reduce carbon emissions from clothing & empowers consumers to walk towards greener habits. A particular guided tour of the Green Fashion show will take place on March 19 from 1 to 1. 30pm led by Dr. Mai Khanh Tran ( Mika ) can be booked online.

Green Fashion aims to minimize the environmental impact of clothing production, inevitably without leaving behind a negative legacy. The Academy of Marketing and Marketing Trust provide funding for the LSBU Green Fashion study initiative.
Dr. Mai Khanh Tran, LSBU Digital Marketing teacher, said, “Because clothing make up 8-10 % of global carbon emissions, my study is studying leading Green Fashion artist, Lan Huong, so we can better comprehend what the fashion industry has to do to stay within the global 1. 5C warming destination. We’re looking at how Lan Huong’s clothes may use biodegradable ramie to support Green Fashion trends in various industries.
LSBU Hub will be transformed from the 19th to the 23rd of March 2024 with a pop-up show where guests can take themselves inside a gigantic book of Lan Huong, discover how her ramie set was created, and discover how ramie has caused revolutions in industries, from equipment to agribusiness. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to present their opinions and ideas for the direction of natural fashion. ”
