Designed by Liza Bruce, it’s believed that even three of the same lamé slipdresses were ever made, with one of them in the V&A set. The property for sale was just recently discovered in a previous Liza Bruce employee’s roof.
It’s estimated that the costume will grab between 200 and 300 lbs.
It is understood that Corinne Day and Melanie Ward picked out a sample of the style Moss wore for one of Moss ‘ first Vogue shoots for the June 1993 issue, but they did n’t end up using it. This eventually became an iconic fashion moment of the early 1990s.
Moss eventually chose the dress to wear to the party without realizing how pure the material was.
In a after meeting with Elle, she recalled:” I did not realize that this costume was see- through until the pictures came out the next day in the newspaper. Because actually the fabric, when I was wearing it, I did n’t think it looked this see-through but obviously it was, the flash made it look naked. Had I known that it would be discussed 30 years afterwards. Great dress, good day”.
The supermodel’s girl Lila Moss wore a reconstructed pure gown designed by Nensi Dojaka to recreate that memorable moment at the Fashion Awards last year.
The real T-shirt Moss wore on the handle of the June 2004 problem of i- D Magazine is even available for sale at the approaching Kerry Taylor auction.
The T-shirt is thought to have been produced in 1991 as a partnership with Judy Blame and the counterculture label Old Ghosts and has an estimated cost range of 400 to 600 weight. The lot was purchased by a former Blame assistant and is being sold together with the magazine’s unique copy by the owner.
The price also offers a mix of classic items from Chanel, Christian Dior, Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood and Ossie Clarke.
