Salvation Army’s buying division wins a prize for fashion retail.

At last week’s Drapers Awards in London, the Salvation Army Trading Company ( SATCoL ), based in Kettering, was honored by receiving the” Disruptor Award” for promoting widespread adoption of textile reuse and recycling.

The panel of judges noted how the business is constantly pursuing two issues that retailers find extremely challenging to address on their own: textile reuse and reuse. Judges were astounded by how SATCoL is upending the industry, supported by a well-defined strategy and compelling goal.
