We are nearing the end of our airport styling hacks set, in which Vogue Runway’s Laia Garcia-Furtado and José Criales-Unzueta group back to our springtime 2024 trend reports to check the street-cred of some runway trends.
Next time, we gave the a try to, it must be said, much success. Up future: large clothing. Not everyone wants to be so easily …seen, but everyone loves a naked dress ( just ask our SEO team ), and yes, billowy fabrics and gossamer layers sound ideal for the summer. Let’s see how we fare this time around.
José Criales-Unzueta: I love this. It’s so elegant. The shirt’s insouciance, in my opinion, determines it. It combines classy and risqué, which is what makes it work, in my opinion. That and the clothing with a button-up all the way up. Lots of great options!
Laia Garcia-Furtado: Back in the day, I used to own a large lattice button-down clothing from American Apparel that I bought on a desire and ended up wearing all the time—it became my bedroom necessary. Therefore I, um, outgrew it, and I was mourning it until I found this version. Although this one is slinkier and made of unexpectedly strong pantyhose-like material, I believe the best aspect is that it has a similar double-layered panel around the statue, making it both sheer and humble.
LGF: This feels pretty you. It’s so simple airy lovely. You can never go wrong with a gorgeous white top and a pair of great jeans, in fact. They’re masterpieces for a purpose.
JCU: I fully agree. This is a go-to match for me, these with a large twist. It felt secure, and the tank top behind makes it a much easier for daily. The heftiness of the very large trousers even plays up the rate, which seems like a good comparison.
JCU: I have one thing to say: Brat summertime! You ate this.
LGF: Child Summers! This is undoubtedly the “day to night” transformation that fashion magazines adored in the past; I suppose since everyone works from home now, they are n’t really required to do this, haha. I think the exposed underwear—another tendency I had never tried before—works here because it’s just a section of colour, no trousers or cracks or anything that openly cries UNDERWEAR. And even because… idiot summer.
LGF: This is it for me. Diva. Additionally, these tiny flats from yours truly go with every costume. Let’s learn a round of clapping for them.
