Rivercity Apparel shuts down its North Chattaooga location after almost 27 times.

In North Chattanooga, one of the oldest children’s clothing retailers is closing and selling out all of its goods.

Rivercity Apparel, which has been running a shop along Frazier Avenue for almost 27 years, announced last week that it would close when it sold all of its remaining inventory.

In a phone meeting, Kemmerer stated that “everything is marked down, and we’re going to be here until it is gone.” ” I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m prepared to move on to something else with more routine mobility.”

Family-run Rivercity Apparel was established in 1997 and now resides in a 2, 000 flat feet leased shop at 36 Frazier Ave.

Her parents, David and Jane Kemmerer, who had recently purchased an outlet for product inefficiencies and income clothing items for men, women, and kids, sold the company to Ann, taking over the operation. Rivercity Apparel was transformed into a women’s store fashion line by the Kemmerers, which now sells original clothing by various designers.

Kemmerer remarked,” I believe we have always had a fantastic price point that was accessible and appealing to consumers of all ages.” Frazier Avenue, however, is not what it once was.

According to Kemmerer, the pandemic negatively impacted income for a number of years, and like many outlets, Rivercity Apparel sales have not yet returned to their pre-pandemic levels.

Only four weeks after Backstreet Betty’s closed across the street in July after operating on Frazier Avenue for the previous seven years, Rivercity Apparel is scheduled to close. However, a mark on the shuttered Backstreet Betty’s indicates that the new company Bento- Ya intends to start at 111 Frazier Ave immediately.
