The dress she wore to her daughter’s wedding is causing a commotion on the internet, and no, it was n’t white.
Lori DeWitt, a mother of Louisiana, is seen walking down the aisle in a natural decorative custom Audrey + Brooks gown with a plunging neckline, retractable bow, and train.
” The most beautiful Crowd dress we’ve actually seen!!!”! Chloe LeBlanc, the post’s captioned author, was in the marriage ceremony.
However, the wife, Amanda DeWitt Leblanc, wore a Romona Keveza off- the- make horn robes to walk down the aisle.
People found the 53- yr- old mother’s dress very questionable, with some in the comments saying she was” trying to entertain her daughter”.
” Wow. Could n’t she let her daughter be the bigger deal that day?!!! If my family did that I’d send her back to change”, one admitted.
” Wonderful clothing. Wonderful person wearing it. Bad occasion”, one man commented.
” Very small cut. Wonderful material, tacky split for a wedding. Period”, another said.
” Wonderful but a bit over the top considering her sister’s dress”! one noted.
” Why does MOB want to be the centre of attention??”? somebody else questioned, while another asked,” Why outdo your child????? Shocking”.
” It’s not the mother’s day”! a customer exclaimed.
However, not all the remarks were bad — some people found the negative comments to become “projecting their fears”.
” If my mom does n’t do this she has to go home. If she did something less, I may get upset!” one said.
” You go Mommy!! You look wonderful!! I ca n’t wait until my daughter gets married! I want look just like you!”! another wrote.
” A lot of y’all have mommy issues and it shows”, one man quipped.
” I love this so much! I want my Mother to feel But wonderful on my marriage day, ya’ll are cray”, one post read.
My mother always got married, but I genuinely want to make her feel special and gorgeous like what you’re having all this trouble with,” people said.
Fortunately for the mom and daughter, they have a good sense of humor.
” We did n’t realize my dress was going to spark a debate, but we’re laughing about it”,. ” I’m the past people you’d expect to get popular. I do n’t even post photos”!
Amanda, 26, and Lori purchased their dresses while shopping in New York City, and they claim there is now also a list for Lori’s practice Audrey + Brooks dress there.
” It was originally strapless — but I did n’t think that was appropriate for a Catholic Church, so they changed the neckline”, Lori, an interior designer who specializes in college dorm rooms, shared with the outlet.
The Post has reached out to the store that sells expensive clothing for more information.
Unlike the web, Amanda thought her mother’s costume was “perfect”.
” I love what she wore”, Amanda, a podiatrist in Florida, told Immediately. ” My mother looked completely stunning”.
She continued, adding that she and her father “wanted our family members to sparkle.”” It was just as many her day as it was mine.
Amanda’s mom- in- rules wore a red statuesque dress with statement flowers.
However, Lori found the censure to be” a tiny heartbreaking” despite Amanda and Lori both enjoying the MOB look and being able to joke about it.
” I would never do anything to injure my kid”, Lori said. Everyone” really wanted to look their best,” he said.
” For my next daughter’s marriage I think I’m going to show up in a burlap sack that says MOB”, she quipped.
