is no stranger to a Vogue cover or two. Hardly surprising when your mum is , tbh. And while her nepo baby status may have been the reason behind her Vogue debut, gracing the aged just 13 alongside her look-alike mum, as of late she’s been proving her worth all on her own in jaw-dropping looks, statement makeup and magical sets.
Back in February, she appeared on the cover of freeing the nip in a harlequin-themed shoot, while last month she graced the pages of American Vogue in a fashion editorial on English country style with a high-fashion edgy twist. However, it may be her latest appearance in the fashion bible as Vogue Turkey‘s April cover star that truly proves her model credentials.
The cover itself is stunning, with Lila modelling the assertive luxury – an update of – but it’s one of the looks from the accompanying shoot that really caught our attention.
Taking to Instagram to share an inside look, Lila included a snap of herself wearing a red off-the-shoulder mini dress in the carousel. With its extremely voluminous puff ball hem and knicker-flashing micro hemline, the ‘fit is instantly recognisable as a Jacquemus design.
Specifically, *that* Jacquemus dress modelled by none other than during the designer’s autumn/winter 2023/2024 runway show. Despite social media commentary comparing the look to everything from a marshmallow to a diaper, we low-key loved it. And even more so when donned the same dress but in a red hot colourway (now worn by Lila) as part of a brand campaign for the French fashion house.
There’s no denying the silhouette is en vogue – literally – with wearing a puffy Schiaparelli co-ord to announce her pregnancy on the Vogue World red carpet and recently sporting a pink bubble-hem dress for her own photoshoot. And this actually isn’t the first time Lila has modelled a rounded micro mini, strutting down the Stella McCartney runway during wearing a .
We’re not sure a puffball dress would work IRL, but there’s no denying it’s model-approved.
