Only moments before the 2024 show began, Adamas County Fair Day one saw a dozen showers, but even with those showers, show contestants and their supporters also showed up and showed up.

There was only one winner in the eight candidates who entered the Adams County Fair level and were competing for the subject of Miss Adams County Fair 2024.
Madalyn Gibbs, 17, was crowned the 2024 Miss Adams County during the Miss Adams County Fair Pageant on Wednesday, July 24 during the 82nd Adams County Fair.
Gibbs is the child of Liberty’s Jason and Amanda Gibbs. This fall, she will be a top at Liberty High School. She intends to enlist in the Air Force after graduating, with the ultimate purpose of pursuing a job in criminal justice and gradually becoming an FBI agent.
In addition to winning the 2024 name, Gibbs shocked the audience by dressing up in her family’s gown when she won the Miss Adams County contest in 2000.
I tried it on as a pun two years ago, and it was a little too big, and when I decided to run for this show, I tried it on once more and it work like a glove. I thought,” How great would it be if I wore the same outfit that she won in.” It was dream, said Gibbs.
Gibbs asserted that the knowledge gained from ceremonies will continue to be useful in both her current and future endeavors.
OTHER Finalists:
First skater away was Madison Hester. Madison is the 18-year-old child of Jarred and Sue Hester of Golden. She graduated from Central High School. In the drop she plans to attend Quincy University. Madison plans to key in judicial justice/pre-law with aspirations to become a prosecuting counsel.
Next runner away was Ashley Walbring, the 17-year-old child of Matt and Lori Walbring of Quincy. This fall, she did attend Quincy Senior High School as a senior. Ashley intends to enroll at Culver-Stockton College to study for a Bachelor of Health Science in Respiratory Therapy after graduating.
Walbring was even awarded the Miss Congeniality Award, voted on by her fellow candidates. She takes house a$ 150 fellowship with that prize.
The contestant who gave the best exam also received the Don Russell Memorial Award, which was presented to Madison Hester. She takes household a$ 150 fellowship with that prize.
Different contestants included Maddi Cramsey, Sierra Miller, Genavieve Zengel, Olivia Williams and Charlotte Smith.
All contestants received scholarships for their efforts in the show.
The retiring Miss Adams County, Morgan Widmer is the 20-year-old child of Mike and Trudy Willis of Quincy. She will be a junior at Quincy University studying in primary education this fall. She is part of the” Hawkettes”, the QU Dance Team, as well as a pupil adviser, Hawk Bound chief, and orientation leader for Quincy University.
The 2024 good works until Tuesday, July 30 at the Adams County fairgrounds off Highway 336 in Mendon, Illinois.
