Kidbea, a bamboo-based company that sells children’s clothing, announced that the pre-series A round, which was led by the early-stage investment firm Venture Catalysts, has brought in$ 1 million in funding.
Agility Ventures and BestVantage Investments, as well as the owners of Droom, Ashok Bahadur, Sandeep Agarwal and Upasana, along with a team of seasoned angel investors, and Hiro Mizushima—a well-known professional in Japan—participated in the money round.
” The funding represents a significant turning point in our efforts to transform Kidbea into an Rs. 500 million product within the next three years. According to Swapnil Srivastav, co-founder of Kidbea, this money gives us the tools we need to strengthen our sustainable offerings, broaden our global reach, and keep redefining children’s clothing. In FY-23, the company saw an 8-fold increase in revenue in the$ 16.4 billion market for kidswear.
Kidbea, which was established in 2021 by Swapnil Srivastav, Mohammad Hussain, and Aman Kumar Mahto, specializes in producing skin-friendly, wooden plant-based family’s clothing. Kidbea’s products address problems like discomfort, skin rashes, and food spillage in newborns by offering GOTS ( Global Organic Textile Standard ) certified clothing that is gentle on kids ‘ skin and environmentally friendly.
Kidbea will use the money to increase its staff size, marketing and branding initiatives, and operational improvements. To keep up with the fast changing children’s style industry, a proper portion of the funds will also be set aside for research, development, and technology.
