A local brother and sister duo from EL PASO, Texas ( KFOX14/CBS4 ) is making waves in the fashion industry and carving out their own distinctive path from El Paso.
Imperial Legacy Clothing, a clothes line that Marcus and Faith Smith founded in Sun City more than ten years ago, is the brainchild of the two.
Designer Marcus Smith said,” Everyone said we could n’t do what we do in El Paso, so let’s prove a point.” In El Paso, we have the ability to travel the globe, and that is what we are doing.
While Faith is occupied with business coordination and product preparation for big fashion shows across the United States, Marcus creates everything from the initial sketch to tailor-made fabric, prints, and perhaps a logo.
While they also run their another enterprise, as mental health situation managers, it’s a full-time work for them both but also an act of love.
Just full clothing lines for the ILC model have been influenced by their encounter working in mental health.
Imperial Legacy Clothing has appeared on purple rugs for BET, MTV, and VH1, and its choices have been spotted on airports at New York Fashion Week, New Year’s Observation, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, as well as Philadelphia.
