Charlotte’s occasion is only one day long and is regarded as a “buy/sell/trade” occasion.
A sizable traveling clothing industry has been spreading across the nation and will soon arrive in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Park Expo and Conference Center on East Independence Boulevard will host more than 150 ThriftCon vendors on December3. Attendees may rummage through racks, trash, and piles of items dating back several decades, from “high ending collectibles to outrageously discounted steals.”
When the occasion started in 2018, the ThriftCon group claimed that it was a small town industry in Denver, Colorado, but the founders saw the potential to bring up numerous vendors and businesses in the name of used and vintage goods. Years afterwards, ThriftCon has more than 40,000 visitors annually and is held in a number of cities.
Its goal has not changed:” To promote a more responsible way of life by repurposing properly useful—often forgotten—pieces of the past.”

ThriftCon aims to promote more environmentally friendly ways to enjoy style, such as giving an old piece of clothing new existence, in response to growing environmental concerns about the fashion industry.
Charlotte’s occasion is only one day long and is regarded as a “buy/sell/trade” occasion. This means attendees can bring in one bag per person with items they want to try and sell or trade for other items.
We are n’t just buying, selling, or trading clothing either, according to Mario Conte, co-founder of ThriftCon. ” We’re investing in the histories, cultures, education, and stories behind the parts.”
