A veteran who had a 13cm cancer claimed a lodge had destroyed her wedding morning after they allegedly misplaced her dress and left her with a “dodgy belly”
Elizabeth Slade, 43, travelled to the four-star DoubleTree Hilton near Thame, Oxfordshire, ahead of the specific event, which took place last Saturday.
However, she filmed a video of herself explaining the “horror knowledge” she had in the early hours of the marriage morning while in panic mode.
The caregiver claimed that when she arrived at the hotel on Friday, she claimed none of the employees helped her because she was having trouble with her luggage, and that she dropped the bright gown off on Tuesday next month.
The people later gave the 43-year-old a Twix and a KitKat table in exchange for her care, according to the woman.
Elizabeth and her companion Elizabeth had dinner at 8 o’clock the evening before her marriage. The couple shared a jug of sparkling, while her friend chose the fish and chips.
However, her pal was intact by her meal while the bride-to-be reportedly got food poisoning from her food and called the squid” cheeky.”
She returned to welcome about two hours later to pick up her bridal gown, but the office clerk claimed she had no idea what she was talking about.
Elizabeth told FEMAIL: ‘ She looked at me and said” What dress”?. So I kind of desperate and said” The couple’s outfit, the dress I am wearing tomorrow for my wedding”. And she then said:” I do n’t know anything about that”?.
By that point, I was starting to feel poor. There was only one toilet roll in the room, so I had to go along to welcome for more because I had to go to the toilet.
Elizabeth then took herself outside because she was sobbing when the police could n’t find her frock.
‘ Then they finally found my outfit, I think about 11.30 at evening. And you’re aware that it was just undoubtedly a major stress for some time.
Finally, at two o’clock, I finally went to bed, and I was absolutely unwell.
I called welcome at three in the morning to ask,” Can I have more bathroom move because I’m dying around”?
‘ No reply either. I was really struggling to find over to greeting, which is about a 15-minute move. I cried, demanded a bathroom move, and cried out to the two men behind reception when they saw me.
‘ I said,” I’ve now got food poisoning” and they just looked at me, they did n’t even say” sorry”, or” can we help you”?. ‘
Elizabeth claimed to be crying on the floor at around 3 in the morning before taking to the vehicle to express her feelings before filming herself in tears.
She claimed in the video that she had witnessed “nothing but disasters” since arriving at the resort, where the cheapest baby room costs around £124 per day, and that she felt” thus unpleasant and let down.”
I’ve wanted to get married my entire life and have a wonderful time, but it was a complete failure.
‘ I do not picture myself crying but I thought,” I need evidence of this. She said,” I need proof of what I look like at 3 a.m. the day of my wedding.”
The reason I say it’s unfair is because of what David and I have been through the past few years, they say.
Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma, a rare form of cancer that starts in gastric cell, was discovered in Elizabeth in August 2021.
She stated,” The cancer journey that initially struck me was less than a month to live because they believed it had spread outside.”
‘ But actually, when I finally had]all my ] operations and]treatments ], they got rid of this massive 13cm tumour at the top of my rectum.
I’m really fortunate because the test revealed a large pile in my liver. So they instantly thought it had spread, but really it]was a] cluster of blood vessels in my heart and it was n’t cancers.
‘ As far as I’m knowledgeable and as far as health professionals are conscious, I’ve got no tumor, which is just remarkable.’
Elizabeth praised Dame Deborah James, a advocate who is also known as Bowel Babe, for helping her through the difficult days.
‘ If I had n’t of watched her videos, I do n’t think I could have taken it in such a positive stride. She was amazing. And she certainly helped me get through my voyage,’ she added.
Elizabeth claimed she had been waiting her entire life for her marriage, and that she had the final few steps taken only four weeks before the ceremony.
She claimed that her relatives always had” a lot of money” and that they were initially planning a modest wedding and less formal engagement.
However, her mother decided to use the funds that her family had inherited to grant her a fairytale wedding that she had always hoped for when she received a scratchcard.
‘ Both of my relatives, they’ve worked hard their entire career, David and I have worked really hard and we’ve never had much money to spare.
‘ So we were planning a much more low key bride. My mother won some money on a scratchcard about a year ago, just before Christmas, and I won the lottery of living.
‘ She got very excited and said she’d prefer to pay for my marriage, so that’s why it finally got upgraded significantly.
My mother and I both got my front teeth done, and I was able to wear a gorgeous wedding gown. I my back teeth were n’t great before, they were knocked up when I was 10 years old.’
Thankfully, Elizabeth was able to get some Imodium medications and feel well enough to propose to David Slade, 47, as the love of her life.
I suddenly fell asleep at 5 a.m. and slept for an hour before going back to sleep. Although I had a bride breakfast scheduled, I was unable to take it.
I made the decision to call my Maid of Honor and request that she give me some Imodium supplements. I took one and it seemed to labor,’ said Elizabeth, who has a young girl from a past marriage.
Because of the jellyfish, I was concerned that my beautiful white wedding dress would be in an accident. I anticipated having to carry my middle down the aisle.
She even managed to hold it together at the early welcome at the Notley Tythe Barn in Long Crendon, where she took the camera and sang three songs, including Madness ‘” It Must Be Love.”
She said,” I have not even had an explanation from the Hilton,” referring to the wedding that almost never was. I believed it would never occur because it was totally horrifying.
Her husband David was n’t aware of the incident Elizabeth had until their wedding day.
‘ I paid for a nightmare experience and they still have n’t offered to give the money back,’ she added.
One of the bridal party members later informed the happy couple that they had stayed in a better place than they did the day after the couple tied the knot.
‘ We got a standard hotel and she found out the next day that a pal of hers, clearly you know not the sister’s problem, but they were given]a better room ] ahead of us.
‘ It’s a truly great hotel with two different rooms. We should have had that one, in my opinion, when we combined two and two.
Elizabeth claimed she called the hotel before the trip and was informed that because of the unique occasion, they may get upgraded to a different place.
‘]My buddy] said it felt like she was in the honeymoon suite because it was so much bigger than the one she]originally ] booked,’ the mother-of-one said.
‘ It was just the icing on the cake. I simply pondered that I wanted to leave the resort at that moment.
The few, who are currently on their wedding in Cyprus, claim to be enjoying themselves. Elizabeth added:’ The hotel has been spectacular. It’s actually 100 percent the same of the Oxford knowledge.’
We want to make sure that every practice is enjoyable, according to a Hilton director who spoke to MailOnline.
We were n’t aware of any complaints until recently the newspaper reported them to us. If Elizabeth would contact us ( as she has not yet ) we would be delighted to talk about it because we do n’t want anyone to feel that they did n’t have the best experience possible.
