For the Women’s National Basketball Association ( WNBA ) Draft ceremony on Monday, Caitlin Clark became the first overall pick for Indiana Fever. She wore a pricey Prada outfit.
The 22-year-old former National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA ) star, who will now take the court as a WNBA rookie, wore only the best for the special occasion, CNN reported.
She donned a$ 17,000 Prada dual bright satin shirt and trousers to the occasion at New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music, which opened the top’s embroidered diamond mesh top underneath.
Clark wore a black Galleria bag, dark slingback pumps, and ester sunglasses while swapping out her shoes for dark brushed leather slingback pumps.
Prada’s rep confirmed that this was the first moment the luxury brand had prepared an athlete for the WNBA or NBA draft.
Even her boyfriend could n’t resist drooling over Clark in an all-Prada outfit.
Connor McCaffery utters jaw-dropping and adoring symbols in response to a fan on X, a former Twitter account, asking what he thought of Clark’s behavior.
In her last collegiate season, Clark has helped to entice record-breaking TV audiences and sellouts in arenas all over the country, which some had anticipated would be the first pick upon.
” I got a little frightened there before the find,” Clark said on the ESPN spread.
She afterwards added:” I’ve dreamed of this time since I was in second grade. It’s taken a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, only trying to wash it in. “
The LA Sparks selected Austin’s Cameron Brink with the second overall pick, and other NCAA stars like Kamilla Cardoso from South Carolina and Angel Reese from Louisiana State University are also Professional players.
