As it moves to Knoxville, Altar’d State acquires more of the original Discovery school.

Altar’d State, a Maryville-based fashion company, now owns two-thirds of the erstwhile Warner Bros. discover school, where the expanding business will move its main office later this month.

One-third of the expansive school, where Apex Bank’s headquarters are located, is still present after the company purchased the entire 33-acre school earlier this year.

Property records show that on November 8, Apex Bank paid$ 4 million to sell the 11.66-acre piece to Altar’d State as AS Realty 1 LLC.

According to Knox County Register of Activities Nick McBride, the shipment at 540 Frank Gardner Lane is primarily available space with a sizable parking lot and little shop building. It encircles Brown Squirrel Furniture’s north and west sides.

In October, Altar’d State purchased another part of the Discovery school.

On October 17, Altar’d State paid$ 27 million to acquire almost 10 acres of the land.

The whole 33-acre Discovery residence at 9721 Sherrill Blvd. was purchased by Apex Bank in March. for$ 35 million before dividing it into three sections.

The family company of Altar’d State, Stand Out For Good, Inc., recently claimed that the property’s features were alluring to entice and keep staff members. Altar’d State expressed its hope that the new site may “foster a powerful and creative office culture” in an October push release.

By the end of 2023, Altar’d State should be finished.

Altar’d State is a women’s apparel, jewelry, and footwear retailer with four sister companies:

  • Arula: late- and plus-size clothing for women
  • Apparel and equipment for AS Revival
  • Tullabee: kids ‘ clothing
  • Vow’d: maid, wedding attire, and presents

A site for Altar’d State is in Turkey Creek, and there is a Tullabee at West Town Mall as well as locations for both Altar’s State and Arula. On Market Square in the heart of Knoxville, a Vow’d is present.
