Canada is our home, and from coast to coast, we adore supporting our neighbors, spelled with an” U” and all.

When it comes to American companies, we’ve got some great little mom- and- pop shops and some global behemoths, like Canada Goose. We recently discovered some fantastic items from businesses we did n’t even know were Canadian.

Smash + Tess

Favorite product: Rompers. We love the company’s styles, materials and ecology, but it’s absolutely best known for leotards.

Roots

On: Roots was founded by Michael Budman and Don Green, who met at summer station in Algonquin Park, Ont. The company began by making leather goods, which are still a part of its image, but the company is presently primarily known for pants and sweatshirts.

Founding place: Toronto, Ont. Leather products are also made in Toronto, Ont.
