Ashley Joseph Brown, 40, of Dinham Road in New Milton, received a 10-week jail term for theft.
It comes after two incidents that happened over the course of two weeks at Tesco in Caird Avenue, New Milton.
Brown went into the shop and bought a blanket and some running bottoms for £67.50.
After covering his attire with the things, he walked out of the store without paying for them.
He went back to the same store the next day and stole four containers of Lego for £195.
Financial murder in Hampshire is one of the department’s present interests, and we will continue to support that by vigorously dealing with shoplifters, according to Sergeant Arron Wood from the New Milton Neighbourhood Policing Team.
” We will always take these issues critically, and we’ll do everything in our power to track down criminals and prosecute them.”
On September 14 and 15, there were offenses.
Brown was given a ten-week prison term for the first offense and required to pay savage prey fee of £154.
He was given a ten-week parallel sentence for the second offense.
On November 15, he received a sentence at Southampton Magistrates ‘ Court.
