Anathi Boitumelo Tshaka, 23, a young clothing developer and founder of Alexandra’s Thee Eversmile Clothing company, has never let her circumstances prevent her from achieving her goal of owning a clothing company.
Tshaka’s love for art is what spurs her on, even though she did n’t study fashion in any fashion school. Her love of style and design began when she was just a very young child, when she used to create some artwork and drawings. In January 2022, she launched her clothes line.
” I started Thee Eversmile Clothing in January 2022, driven by my love for art, clothing, and the desire to offer a platform for personal- expression through clothing”, she said.
Tshaka described Thee Eversmile Clothing as a company that provides a system for local artists to display their work at social situations and provides custom-fitting clothing to suit different tastes. She has collaborated with a number of Alexandra-based musicians, including Unimab Events & Media.
Tshaka styles hoodies, sweatshirts, T- shirts and fabric jeans to suit diverse people’s styles.
” With me, it’s more of writer’s society, since I’m sponsoring social events for local musicians. I feel that each one of them has his/ her type. Nearly every designer uses garments to express themselves, and each has a unique style and taste depending on how they dress. If he is a pantsula or a skrrrrrrrrrrrr, I architecture clothing that will fit everyone’s taste.
Anathi holds events thrice a year for Alexandra-based artists, poets, and dancers so that they can be recognized, connected, and forged connections with artists from different townships.
I firmly believe in fostering harmony and support artists in my work. Our social events, which were first introduced in 2022, feature various ideas that aim to promote art and build relationships with the artistic community.
Tshaka said that the artists she works with, who constantly remind her of the positive things she has accomplished and who also have a slogan that reads,” Wonderful trip continues,” keep her moving in times of difficulty.
