The “most wonderful costume” is discovered by the bride, but the bride is scolded off.

To many, the biggest wedding morning stigma is sporting light when you’re not the wife.

So it’s no wonder that New York resident sparked outcry when she just asked followers if a long, cream-colored costume was appropriate to wear to a marriage.

The Bengali-American turned to the movie platform for assistance after explaining that she had only attended weddings in her own culture, where the concept of surpassing the bride is absent.

The father of clothing articles has three weddings scheduled for this year, so he was hoping the nude gown was n’t too bright.

Tanya pleaded with viewers to “honest thoughts,” demanded respect for the no-white wedding custom, and said she did n’t want to offend anyone.

Tanya stunned in a floor-length creamy beige gown which featured a side slight, but it was a little too similar to white to wear to a wedding, according to many who slammed her for asking

The content creator, who often posts fashion-related videos is from a South Asian background where it is the norm to dress to the nines without formal dress codes or taboos, explained this was why she resorted to social media for answers

She pleaded: ‘ I need your aid, I got the most beautiful, wonderful dress in the mail. Although I am utterly fascinated with it, is it acceptable to wear this colour to a wedding?

‘ It’s like yellow, product, skinny. I’m hoping because I’m dark it does n’t look white. Obviously I do n’t want to offend anybody, it’s just the best formal dress I’ve ever seen that I like.’

She continued:’ In person it looks tan- skinny, but let me know what you guys think’, in the 37- next- long clip captioned:’ I’ve absolutely just been to Indian weddings but sorry if it’s a dumb question’.

The picture, which has since amassed over a million sights divided audiences, many of whom hailed the summer gown as’ stunning’.

Shocked TikTok users found her to be common knowledge despite the fact that others were more conversant with her history.

One diplomacy concluded: ‘ Hard nothing. Beautiful dress though’, while another uttered: ‘ My plan is if you have to issue it, then no’.

And one user, a bride- to- be admitted: ‘ It’s completely beautiful but I’m getting married this spring and if someone wore this to my wedding I had cry’.

A more withering accounts quipped: ‘ Absolutely not. I believe once a year there is a woman who does this: asks about the most visible gown, and we all collectively say” NOOOO” to her.

Many of Tanya's viewers were left stunned she had to even ask what they deemed an obvious question, but the content creator explained that her background was why she wasn't so clued up on it all

One woman also questioned Tanya’s intentions to wear it on her own great day, saying,” Girl, I thought you were going to say this was for YOUR wedding.”

Another gobsmacked TikTok user said: ‘ HOW is this a problem, like truly.’

But some ran to Tanya’s army, explaining: ‘ Crazy idea but not everyone grew up with the same lifestyle as you’.

This led to the father answering: ‘ Thank you. Many of these comments and insights, which I only attended American weddings as a child, were not immediately apparent.
