Soor Sanghvi, a junior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South, was inspired to start his environmental organization, Revogue LLC, after learning about the significant environmental impact of the fashion industry. Discovering the tremendous advantages of sustainability, Soor realized that creating a more sustainable style economy, while challenging, is achievable.
People are wearing clothes once or twice before stowing them apart, according to Soor, “Right now we are heading in a bad way with the new pattern of rapid fashion taking over. As long as each one of use makes an effort, no matter how small or big, we are bound to create a change.”
Then as a new initiative to further encourage conservation, Soor is organizing, what he hopes will remain, the largest continuous clothing swap.
Does a 16-year-old change the way we think about style? Soor Sanghvi is on a quest to demonstrate that he does. In the fall, Soor will be organising a large national clothing swap that will span 15 states and 3 nations, with the goal of promoting green fashion and reducing jute waste on a global scale.
The transfer may get held on September 28, 2024. Individuals are encouraged to take their unwanted clothing and discard any items they find interesting. This demonstrates how conservation is possible if we all work together and create a sense of community and shared objective. More information about the transfer can be found on the organization’s website Revogue for the teen. nonprofit.
Planning for the celebration has been extensive. Soor has mobilized a system of volunteers, secured spaces, and will be partnering with local businesses to ensure the transfer runs smoothly. ” The aid has been incredible”, Soor says. Folks are excited to be a part of something that can make a big difference.
Soor hopes this clothes swap will inspire people to download his Revogue software, which is based on the concept of clothes swapping and allows users to browse and receive complimentary items from other people’s closets. Instead of putting their money into the fast clothing trend, people can modify their clothes. He claims that there is a chance that this will turn out to be an annual event and that there will be more clothing derivatives like this one.
As the event date approaches, the pleasure continues to build. Soor’s program is a testament to the influence of children and the potential for small changes to have a significant impact.

Soor adds,” Up, we can all put in effort to create ourselves more green, and in turn, making the world more green”.
