CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA )— Proms, marriages and job interviews are all major events in people’s life. One person in Champaign wants to make all of those things even more special for all.
Mike Ingram has organized the “CU Prom Giveaway” for the last three decades. People have a chance to organize their closets and offer their outfits a second residence.
People can contribute gowns, suits, shoes, make-up, and accessories, next anyone can buy the racks for free.
Beyond simply looking for a costume for the big dance, it is expanding even further. Additionally, it assists wives, parents, and other individuals looking for the ideal costume for special occasions.
” I know nothing about style, this is just a fun thing for me to perform to help organize. It’s enjoyment when something comes up and it’s something they’re truly comfortable in”, Ingram described.
It’s all set up at the City Center on Chestnut Street in Champaign. There are still very some weeks left. The last “open time” are Monday, April 1st from 2- 7 p. m. and Tuesday, April 2nd from 3- 6 p. m.
